MLM/Planning Session Descriptions

Real Comparison, Real Results: The Business Case for AI in Forecasting for Initial Allocation

Dave Sheekey, Director, Solution Principal

Session attendees will be the first to see the results from a proof of concept (POC) effort that directly compared the results of AI-driven short-term forecasting against traditional methods. The POC effort focused specifically on initial allocation of new products – one of the most difficult forecasting exercises in the retail industry. Learn what it takes to set up and run an AI-driven forecast, and the difference – and value – that comes from the results, as well as how we will carry this effort into our Allocation, Forecasting and Replenishment solution.

How Resilient Retailers Are Planning Inventory for 2021

Dave Sheekey, Director, Solution Principal | featuring Aptos customer case studies

The one thing that is universal across all of retail is that actual results from 2020 will be useless for planning 2021 and beyond. Attendees will learn how planning has been impacted by the global pandemic, from immediate allocation and replenishment decisions, to long-term views into item and location plans.

Bringing New Levels of Speed and Agility to the Merchandise Planning Lifecycle with Aptos Foundation

Helen Kostis, VP, Solution Principal

Speed and flexibility are essential in the new normal of retail. In this session, Aptos introduces our latest innovation in helping retailers achieve both as it applies to planning processes: Foundations. Foundations is a new program designed to get new planning capabilities implemented quickly and efficiently, adapting to an Agile method of implementation that emphasizes speed to value. Attendees will see the Foundation concept applied to Merchandise Financial Planning, along with our plans to bring the Foundation concept to the rest of the MLM suite.

PLM & SCM: Real-World Examples of How Aptos Customers Are Taking Advantage of Disruption

Helen Kostis, VP, Solution Principal & Luca Ferraris, Product Manager | featuring Aptos customer case studies

Supply chains and product design have been substantially disrupted by the pandemic shocks to the supply chain. Learn how one retailer is viewing the disruption as an opportunity to substantially improve the speed and efficiency of their product design processes with Aptos PLM and SCM, from inspiration through to supplier management.
